Here's my millionth birth control post 😅 now I want to know your experiences with the depo shot.…

I hated it. 😩 I gained 30 pounds and my hormones were crazy. One minute I was happy and the next I was sad. Also it made my periods a little irregular, but then they went back to normal.

Depo was horrible. took me 3 years to get pregnant after stopping it. When I did stop it i had irregular periods for at least 2 years. I gained a lot of weight. I also bled for months after i stopped it. It caused me to have a lot of mood swings too. never again..

I heard very bad things about depo :/ that would be my last option

@ingridm89, @jade2017, @jadedplumeria, 😔 may just have to revert back to condoms... I don't trust the mini pill, I don't want anything inserted into my body, and it seems like the shot is a big no go

I gained so much weight on that shot I had to get off of it.

Depo was great. I stopped my period and other than that there were no other symptoms

I was on depo for years. I gained so much weight and was so so depressed, as soon as I stopped taking it i wasn't nearly as depressed and stopped gaining weight. I gained about 15-25 pounds every time I got the shot which was every 3 months

it stopped my period and made it so I had no idea that I had endometriosis. I wouldn't recommend it at all

it made me gain a ton of weight, gave me worse mood swings than pregnancy, and I got my period every two weeks. Also when they first injected me, near my butt, I had serious pain there for a week, to the point I had to sleep on the couch with my legs propped on the back. I don't recommend it, but everyone reacts differently

@christimary0 We have reverted back to condoms as well. I tried the Nuva Ring and it gave me terrible sharp pains to where I would have to pull the car over or stop what I was doing. All these comments on ANY birth control scares me so much and I am not willing to try anything else after just what the Nuva Ring did to me.

I've heard bad things about it, weight gain, mood swings, whatnot. And you can't stop the effects cause the shot lasts for like 3 months or something.
