Mommas who breastfeed-
How bad was your postpartum bleeding and how long did it last? I feel as if blood decides to come out only when I feed my son.. SAME for any of you mommas?
@nicemmcha2015, I see what you mean. I'm trying to rest up as much as possible and it's just weird because I felt like I bled so much with my first and this time around it's hardly anything compared to the first time and that's because I tore and everything
@armywife97 they lasted about a week with both kids.
@cassandrareyna14 I bled for 8 weeks with the 1st and 6 with the 2nd. but most of the time it was light not really heavy like the first few days. however I can tell you the more physical activity you do you will bleed more. I had almost stopped bleeding and we had to go to town to buy food and things we and the baby needed and it got really bad... like how it was the first few days. just from walking around an hour or 2. so careful with that.
@babyjjsmommy, interesting!! I tried to breastfeed my daughter but I wasn't successful so with my son he's latched very quickly and I have more patience so I feel like his feedings are actually successful.
Breastfeeding makes the uterus contract so can cause you to bleed more when you nurse. Mine lasted about 5-6 weeks. I didn't have an actual period until last week at 10 month pp, but it was very mild and didn't feel like one at all. I've heard the first is the worst, but that wasn't the case with me.
that happens because breastfeeding causes your uterus to contract while they feed. for the first 5 days I had labor type contractions when she fed and it about killed me. it's totally normal and will slack off as time goes by.
