Ladies I'm scared to continue breast feeding. Jace is not doing good with bottles or really with the breast. He dsats really really low when bottle feeding because he forgets to breathe and he just isn't taking to the breast like he should and we have to supplement while breastfeeding anyway. Any advice? I will give it a few more days but it's exhausting pumping and knowing that I may be doing it for nothing.

babies have to learn how to suck swallow and breath at the same time. also he is a boy and boys are naturally worse at this in the beginning. I say if you want to breast feed then keep on going. he is just a week or so old. he will get it eventually. keep an eye on his breathing, wet diapers and weight gain. you are learning as well so be pailtient
