I would like to hear from real women rather than just reading online. If YOU (not your friend, sister, cousin etc) have had/are currently using the Paragard IUD, what was/is your experience like?
I'm between this and getting nexplanon again. However, I'm leaning towards trying this because it's non hormonal.
I'm most concerned with pain during sex.

it made my periods super heavy and painful. didn't hurt to have sex or anything.

I had the iud before the non hormonal copper that you can have up to 10 years. it worked out perfect but sometimes periods we're a little heavy. but I always had a very regular period. I also had the nexplanon before and hated it because u kept getting random periods and had to get on the pill to regulate my periods so I removed it.

I hated mine so much. My period was 45 days late once, I freaked bacause I thought I was pregnant, then I bled for a month. I never did stop bleeding so I had it removed and went on Pills to regulate my cycle... I am on my 2nd Mirena though and I love it!
