Any suggestions on how to get a two year old to understand that we just cannot watch Mickey Mouse, all day, everyday?…

Any suggestions on how to get a two year old to understand that we just cannot watch Mickey Mouse, all day, everyday? Lol.

Seriously though, he likes other shows and we know he does but lately if it's not Mouse that's on then he'll watch whatever is on for a few minutes and then cry and say "I don't like this show" and "I wanna watch Mouse". But we tell him that the show that's on is what is on right now so it's either he has to watch whatever cartoon is on or we're changing it to something daddy wants to watch. And then he'll watch whatever is on. But then again, he'll say the same things, that he doesn't like it and he wants to watch Mouse.

We're trying to get him to understand the life lesson of "you don't always get what you want" but we don't want to be mean about it..

@mommamandy0716, if both houses don't parent the same at least for these thing nothing will change his behavior sadly.

See, we try that too, but he's just so darn stubborn lol he understands when he's in time out that he did something wrong but then he'll go right back to acting the same way. It's just hard because we don't really know how he is raised at his moms. @hart.momma

@mommamandy0716, tell him if he can't share then he needs to lay down & nap or sit in time out that's what I do with my 1.5 year old he gets it. @butterfli_luv we've seen every damn Clifford episode, even the Clifford puppy days ones. & this is what's on my tv right now 🙄 he's lucky he's cute. Popscile (pedialyte but he doesn't know, a fresh diaper after a bath & stupid Clifford 😂)

We've tried everything and it always comes to the point of letting him have what he wants, but I don't want him to think that if he cries and throws a fit then that means he's going to get his way every time. @butterfli_luv

Literally nothing works, we try the whole "I watch something, you watch something" and it doesn't work. We have Netflix and he knows that, if I tell him that Mouse isn't on then he asks if he can watch it on my phone. The biggest thing is, he has an issue with sharing, he doesn't share with anyone and he absolutely hates when things don't go his way. He is very smart and knows his way around things to get what he wants. He has cousins that are the same age as him and they don't watch the same things he watches so we try to tell him that when they come to play then you have to watch something they like and then he can watch Mouse and then at that point, he cries and doesn't even want to play with them. I just don't want to keep giving in and letting him have what he wants and then him continue to be that way when his brother gets older or when he starts school. @hart.momma

No two year old is going to understand that life lesson. We use Netflix. Or I tell my son "mommy gets to a watch a show, then you watch yours okay?" & he says okay. Occupy him with toys. It's not really a lesson you can teach him at 2 when he doesn't understand. & theres no real way to just get him to understand it. Their brains don't work like ours do at our age. It takes time to make the connection

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

My hormones are on a full go right now and I seriously wanna divorce my husband right now. We're having a convo about FB. We use to have ours together but it was a pain in the ass so we just got our own. Which was fine, but he said he wanted to get rid of it because we spend to much time on it. (In reality it was him) but whatever so I said okay. We haven't had it for a while and now that baby is coming I told him I'm getting mine back because I want to know who's gunna be trying to post pictures of my son. & I don't want anyone posting pictures before me. Like not that I'm gunna be on there all the time or whatever. I don't have time for that & I told him just to get his back if he wants it. & he goes no I don't wanna see dudes posting pictures of naked girls cause it makes me wanna watch porn. Like seriously.. you can't control your emotions or what! He knows I hate porn with a passion and if I ever found out he was watching I probably would leave. And I know he's just being honest but you don't tell your 35 weeks pregnant wife that! Like I'm so insecure at this point and he says that. Ugh I know I know. My hormones are every where and y'all probably think I'm crazy but I don't have anyone else to talk to you. I just wanna cry. And I told him wow ok. And he's well I'm just being honest. I'm like you don't have be honest all you could have said was yes or no. Lol

Feeling Needy and Ignored: How to Cope with Emotional Distance?

I hate this. I feel so needy we live 4 hours away from any of my family and old friends so I literally have no one but my husband to talk to. So when he is home I try to get all the adult interaction I can get. I can tell he is just over me he gave me the controller and told me to put on whatever I wanted to watch because he watched what he wanted. So I put a show on Netflix on and he disappeared after about an hour or two I went to our room and he's laying on the bed watching our TV. I asked him if he wanted the living room TV he could use it and he said he would rather relax before work and not be smothered by me on the couch. Maybe its hormones but it kind of hurt my feelings. I do sit next to him on the couch but I try to give him room but our toddler likes to join us. I mean I get you needing you time but he does get it all the time. He plays games with his friends and when he isn't doing that he has his shows on and tuning me out. Just feel really emotional about it.
