Today is a break down in tears day.
It's been now over a week of short day naps. Granted Zaid has always been a short napper. Maximum 40 mins in the day. But these 5/10 mins naps are getting too much for me. I feel stuck. And it doesn't matter whether he's in the car seat, stroller, sling, lap he will only go 30 mins max. On Sunday evening he went for 4 hours in his car seat (we were travelling) but I feel like that was out of exhaustion on his end from his ridiculous schedule. Night sleep has also gone from 6 hour stretch to 3/4 if I'm lucky and more often 1 hour, waking every hour.
I'm mentally falling apart because usually he has a few bad days and then a good day, but we haven't had a good day in so long it feels horrible.
And lets say I follow the wonder weeks and accept he's going through a leap. Sure. I can see he's learning new things, he's on the verge of grabbing. But as a human being who needs to function beyond feeding herself and tidying bits and pieces of the house and watching TV in the background. As a flipping student whose falling so far behind that it's getting sickening to think about. This is getting ridiculous.
I don't know. Needed to vent. This is life. I'm a mother. I'll get through it. Tears and all.

@sara87 sigh, I know. I remember everyone telling me in the first few weeks dw it gets better. And it did. So I'm willing to have to hope that sooner or later he will settle. But reality is, at times it gets too much and you need to cry it out. Hubs helps to a certain degree, meaning when it gets too much he'll do a nappy or play with LO but for the most part being a mum is you alone isn't it. You're feeding, you're entertaining, you're soothing, you're trying to keep some sort of routine etc.

It's because he doesn't manage to step into another phase of deep sleep. When he wakes up in a stroller continue cradling him during 20 mins aprox and he will fall asleep again form another 1-2 hours.
