I just started cuz my son saw his cousin use the potty. On day three with no accidents :).

We started when he was 6 months. We introduced the potty and when me or his daddy would go pee we would show him the sign for potty and then sit him on it and we would go pee and say yay. And continued when he was 9 months he was walking he when we would say potty he would sit on his and clap he was excited. And then that continued but we had my niece pee in his toilet and I freaked out clapping and made big deal as she is three and isn't potty trained yet. And after he signed potty and I took off his diaper and he went and I made a big fuss and after that I set my phone for ever thirty mins the go off and I would ask and sit him on the potty and when he went I made a big fuss when he didn't I would just clap and say good job and try again in thirty mins
