read the book "on becoming babywise" it's very helpful on feeding and sleeping information. you said she wants to eat every 30 minutes is she rooting for food or is she just crying every 30 minutes?

if it's before that time frame then they just want to suck on something. if you think they are hungry every hour because that's when they cry you are turning then into a snacker they eat for a few minutes and then stop if they do that they don't get to the rich hind milk that helps them grow
