I don't take my babies out for 40 days. Only if they need to go to doctor appts that's it. They're fragile and prone to catch anything when they are still that young. So the more you can avoid taking them out, the better.

You can take them out. Just don't let people get in their face. Or if you know someone has been sick don't let them anywhere near you or the babe.

i know our tradtion as Hispanic mamas is don't take our babies nowhere the first month because of ojo but reality is our child belongs to God and he is protected by God and needs to develop an immune system by going out places.. So bundle him/ her up and take your baby out.. If it's not like ridiculously cold out

@fruitloop13, I still haven't ever taken my son anywhere alone just him and I and he was born sept 7 but his first real trip out beside to and from dr appt was the week before Halloween so he was about 6w at that time but we just took him to pumpkin patch for pic not to many people around. Once he got his first shot which was at 2m i started taking him like shopping but not we're tons of people are at peak times. I have only got him out maybe a total of 3 times It's crazy because he loves his room and loves to be home and so do I. We plan to take him to see Santa and that's about it for the rest of this year we plan to be home and enjoy each other

My son didn't see the outside (he was in the nicu) for 7 and a half weeks. then we took him everywhere.
