So what's the rule with drinking and breastfeeding? I've heard pump and dump, not to pump and dump, to wait 2 hours for every drink, idk I've heard a ton of different things. What do you moms do when you want to have a few glasses of wine, or a mixed drink? I want some mimosas lol
my doc said you dont have to pump and dump if you drink at max the amount of alcohol that gets transfered to the baby is only about 10% of what you drink and not enough to effect the baby
I got these strips that test your breastmilk for alcohol. I got them off amazon and they totally work. I tested them on thanksgiving I got really good buzz going and it showed up positive. Then the other night I had a glass of wine with dinner and it showed up negative. You have to drink quite a bit for it to get in your milk so I think having a few glasses of wine or a mixed drink is fine and then just wait a few hours before you nurse. But I would get the strips to help give you peace of mind 😊
if your sober enough to drive you are sober enough to breastfeed. that's what I was told.
2 drinks is usually fine. don't gotta worry about it unless you're shitfaced lol
There is this girl on here (cannot remember who) but hopefully she reads this! She posted a medical article about this exact thing. I'll try to find it and if I do, I'll comment it for you 😊
Anybody ever heard of the “ pump and dump” method when drinking ?
After you drink you should pump and dump twice or three times?
okay, don't judge me but what's the rules on breastfeeding and drinking? I heard you don't have to pump and dump??
My birthday is in a month and I know I'm going to want to drink ! However, I do plan on breast feeding and my baby will only be maybe 3 weeks old. I've heard that you could "pump and dump" but is that really affective or should I just not drink at all?
Random question: Do you ladies drink alcohol 🍺 🥃🥂🍷🍻🍸
but i dont recommend picking up ir hold a baby if you plan to get drunk you could end up dropping or something worst
