Omg I'm furious! My mother in law gave us a puppy a few weeks ago we gave her our one dog for the puppy cause the male dog wouldn't have been good around the baby so we traded. And today she's gonna put me on the spot when she's here picking up the boy. She goes and asks if she can have the puppy over night cause she wants to visit with her. And I said I want to talk to Cody about it. And she says well I'm already here so I got huffy and said again I would rather talk to Cody about it I like her being here. This little puppy is my baby. I'm soo attached to her. I'm not about to let her take her over night fall in love and be asking for her back. Ain't gonna happen. She is my dog now and she will stay here. You wanna come visit then come tf over and visit. My dog will not leave this house. She sleeps in bed with me every night. I'm not gonna have her leave me. She already thinks her other son is abusing the boy dog so we took him overnight a couple times. Even tho I didn't want to. But he's not my dog. He was my fiancés and he gave him to his mom for the puppy. So why the hell would I let her have my puppy over night ?? I think she got mad at me but I honestly don't give a shit. She is my dog and she will stay here. And my fiancé better not fight me on it cause ima be even more pissed. And stressed. I'm soo pissed right now it's not even funny. She better not even ask if she can have the puppy when we are in the hospital cause that's not happening either. My parents will be staying at our apartment cause their house is 1 hour away from us so it's easier for them to stay at our place. So my parents will be here with the dogs. My 3rd time venting about this subject too 😡😡😡😡😡😡

I'm confused as to how you'd just "trade" a dog, and if whoever is possibly abusing the other dog you need to look into that and take a stand on it. Abuse isn't okay, and ignoring it isn't much better. Sad.

@katlovesj, yes she definitely does. And she shouldn't have even asked such a question. If she wants to visit the puppy she can come here to do so. The puppy does not need to go to her house over night at all.
Thank you ladies. It's so hard to put my foot down to her but when it comes to this puppy and my child I think I can. Cause that pissed me off bad. And my fiancé better not get mad at me and let her have the puppy over night. Cause I know how his mom is and I can just see her asking for the puppy back and that scares me. I'm already attached to her.

She gave you the puppy that is yours. I 100%agree Don't let her have him overnight. If she gets mad then she gets mad but she needs to understand that is your puppy now not hers. just put your foot down each time.
@rmreed, we aren't ignoring the problem. My fiancé and I took the dog to our house for several days and then she wanted him back and everything's been fine since. We traded because she kept asking for him and we are afraid he wouldn't take well to the baby. So we gave her him and we took the female puppy. His mom over exaggerates everything possible. So hard telling if she's ever telling the truth about what goes on.
