So my boyfriend talked to 2 paramedics and a cop yesterday and they said all there is no law stating your childs carseat has to be rear facing until their 2 years old. They said the DRs say that because they see you're first time parents. As long as baby is strapped in their okay. Guess we'll try to see if Drew is less fussy forward facing.

I found this online. I think people state it's the law because it becomes effective in a month

My son is 13 months old. 26lbs and 31 inches. He also throws a fit in the car. I'm keeping him rearfacing until 2 because it's safer. I don't think forward facing is against the law here. The fines are like $500 for California I believe

@bonniesue my sons 12 months snd 20lbs. Im gonna try one day of keeping him forward facing to see how he does. The cop even said we won't get finned for it. and the cop has his newborn forward facing.

My cousins baby is 3 months and she faces him to the front because he throws a complete fit rear facing

I personally wouldn't trust someone who would put a newborns life at risk, lol. Someone else posted about the fines, I'm sure you'll do what you feel is best. Just letting you know the law is effective next month with $500 fines.
