I have a friend whom told me, my son is stiff because I didn't swaddle him. She also told me not to use lavender infused baby wash, because it'll mess with his hormones. Is there any truth behind this? I would swaddle my son when he was first born and we brought him home, but he'd unswaddle himself while he slept.

I don't think so either @bonniesue his doctor doesn't seemed to concerned. She has brought it up but hasn't said anything else about it.

I have ever heard of this before, and I have used the lavender soap since babies never had a problem

You'd think a baby who was swaddled a lot would be stiffer. I don't think the lack of swaddling is the issue.

When your holding him, he doesn't like to move much. He will just stiffen himself up where it's hard to move him. His ped asked us about it but she didn't seemed to concerned. But my friend told me I didn't swaddle him enough or not good enough since he could get out of it. @mommy_faith

What does she mean stiff? My son was never swaddled. And I've never heard that about lavender. I use a lavender baby wash on my son for his baths and I think it helps him fall asleep because it's soothing.
