consultant Appointment this morning, she wanted to do a stretch and sweep..... my god that was uncomfortable/painful!!!! she said my cervix is posteria so she doesnt think anything will happen from the sweep as she still has her head quite high up apparently, tho midwife said shes 3/5ths engaged 🤔 anyone had something similar care to share their storys?

@deedee1988, mine was 3/5ths engaged at my 38wk appointment. From my understanding it just means she still above the pelvis,so not engaged yet as their head usually have to be past the pelvis for them to be considered engaged. Hope that makes sense.
I was due on Sun n still no sign of baby,I'm going slightly crazy now 😂 xx
@missy84, im confused whether baby is actually engaging or not lol midwife says one thing and consultants says her heads still quite high up so i dunno. she wasnt exactly gentle either quite forceful actually really quite hurt, but she said thats cus my cervix is posteria 🤔 just want baby here now!!! and i definitely agree im petrified of birth after that yesterday lol xx
@deedee1988, not the same as you but I went in for a sweep on Mon but I wasn't dilated so she just massaged my cervix. Said it was very soft which is a good sign,her head is quite low too. I'm back on Sat to try for a sweep again,if baby hasn't made an appearance 😒. I've heard mixed stories on sweeps so I am slightly petrified lol x

Doctor said she is sitting too high for a membrane sweep! Has this happened to anyone before ??
Been for my sweep, she said I'm 1cm & could poke baby's head. Managed to sweep but it was tricky as my cervix is still 2cm long & slightly posterior? Anyone relate to any of this? X
had a sweep at 3oclock today I'm 2cm dilated consultant said she gave me a Good one and my Waters are bulging what are the chances before my next sweep on Friday? this is my 1st child
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
aww yeah that does make sense now thanks lol thought 3/5ths was engaged but obviously i got it wrong and theyre not actually saying opposite things lmao!! aww i feel your pain, im not due till friday but i have a induction date for the 13th which is 11 days over, so praying i dont go that far over! have you tried anything to bring labour on? im not sure if it would work cus i do believe its up to baby when they’re ready, lets hope both ours are ready without having to be induced xx
