Moms of toddlers. How many baths per day do you give your child?
I cannot stand my son being dirty or sticky so I have to confess, I have given my son on multiple occasions more than 3baths in one day. I know I shouldn't but he gets filthy when he eats and I don't feel a wash cloth does it. I mean he's got rolls, a double chin and it's gross. He's not gross but food being left on him is gross. Plus he has a stomach issue where he always has diarrhea, so after I wipe him I feel like I have to bathe him.

1 before bed usually that's all. Unless his GI issues are acting up & he literally shit himself or he's sick then he gets more baths because it helps calm him. & depending on what we're doing that day possibly one in the morning too

@hart.momma, okay so maybe I'm just crazy. He has been C.Diff toxins positive for most of his life (he is on his 3rd round of treatment) which causes horrible diarrhea & is contagious. So I think that's part of my need to constantly bathe him.

1. Before bed. Unless a blow out. The oils on their body and their hair is good for them. Too many baths can dry out their skin. Babies are suppose to have 1-2 baths a week. Toddlers have at least 3 a week.

@bonniesue, my son is c diff, noro virus & campylobacter positive, has been for over a year. Along with Gastroparesis & EOE. So he has horrible diarrhea or is horribly constipated so we take our fair share of quick baths but only when it's super bad because it'll dry his skin out & the natural oils help his immune system. (It's not that great to begin with but it helps lol)

Every other day for mine. There immune systems get used to good and bad germs out there.

My son doesn't have diarrhea issues but I've always washed his butt in the sink when he poops. Since he came home that what I do. I don't see the point in using a bunch of wipes to clean poop. I don't feel like it cleans him enough so I use a second changing pad that I have and put it on the counter in the bathroom. I scoot his butt in the sink and rinse his and then wash and rinse him again. Towel him dry and put a fresh diaper. We call it a half ass bath. Lol.
