Oh God I am so worry for my baby and this cold. I really don't want him to get ill because of this cold he is so nice and warm now but when he will come out it will be December and it will be very cold outside. Is that okay to don't take a baby outside till it gets a little warm outside or I have to take him out even if it's cold outside as they do need fresh air. I don't know so confused and worry 🙁
My baby was born in August but still so small and I get scared of taking her out in the cold but they need fresh air at some point😩 it's the cold air they breathe in, she's been in hospital with bronchitis but now when we go out I make sure the rain cover is on to keep the cold away😊 xx
@myfirstbaby2016 My daughter was born on the 31st of Jan :) We went out on day 5 (was in hospital 4 days) Just for a little walk to the shops :) Couldn't wait to get out haha! just wrapped her up warm plenty of blankets...in her carry cot etc :) She was lovely and warm :) Put the foot muff on and hood up to keep the draft of her :) She didn't get a cold until she was 5.5 months old when I had a little cold :) I take her out whatever the weather really :) Obviously you need to take them to the docs (Injections...check ups etc) xx
@myfirstbaby2016, personally I think it does the both of you the world of good to get out!! My friends daughter is 2 in February and she doesn't go out with her little girl when it's cold or rainy which I think is extreme!! But I'll be back at doing the school run as soon as I can manage so will have to take baby out in the cold!! As long as their wrapped up Cosy and you could always put on the rain cover baby will be fine Xx
@myfirstbaby2016, sorry u still feeling poorly. It shouldn't affect baby thou. I personally can't wait until she's here so we can go for walks,I love fresh air and as long as its not raining I'm planning on taking her out as much as possible for some fresh air 😊 x
@myfirstbaby2016, midwife came to see me day 1, 3 and I went to the hospital on day 10 for a check up only because I said I was ok to do so! Also health visitor came out to do ear test at home, I don't like going out in this cold too much either but they say day air is good for chest I open windows too love the air feeling xx
the midwife came to me but i had to go there for a check up and to get her ears tested xx @myfirstbaby2016 @beck_yemm
my midwife came to me xx that's rubbish that you had to walk their @sophie94x I don't think that's common practice xxx
@sophie94x, but I swear midwife come to see the baby after baby is born?! NO? X
i was in pain from the birth and could barely walk, and its a 30 min walk to the doctors so it took me longer to heal x
my daughter got her first cold at 4 weeks old . and i had to take her out at 3 days old to the doctors for her check up! personally i think they should come to you at that age x
@sara-lou, I know my husband been band from driving for a year drink driving 🙁 so we had to use trains & buses and its just too long and stressful haha specially when u have kids u just need to have a car I think I will start sorting out my driving lessons so I can start driving my self as my husband will be at work and I will have to take baby out.
@sophie94x, yea I will take him for a little walk once a week u right. But I am just too worry as he will be so little and I am scared if he does get a cold how would he go through it as he is a new born bby x
We don't drive so we use trains & buses all the time 😂 Having a car will be much easer though & make it easier to get out & about.
@sara-lou, oh I can't stay in all the time either I will take him out for a quick walk that's all definitely not for a long far distance. My husband will start driving again from 29th January. So then we can drive to nice parks because I definitely won't take my baby on no bus. 😊
Well obviously do whatever your happy with. I personally couldn't imagine staying in the house everyday. I have to get out & about or I'd go out my mind! I don't think staying in is healthy for anyone
@sara-lou, i spoke with my grandmother she told me I don't have to take him out I can just open a window in my room and put him in his room for half hour for the fresh air to come in before putting him to sleep in my room at night time. And while he is in my room open a window in his nursery an let the fresh air to come in before taking him there because he will only sleep with me at night, during the day time I will put him in his bed in the his nursery room. 😀 she said as long as its fresh air in the house and u clean the rooms every day baby will be fine 😊 so I just stick to that xx
As long as their wrapped up in those big cosy snow coats & blankets in their pram then yes fresh air even in winter is important. You don't have to take hour long walks but popping to the shops or around the town. Being stuck in 24/ 7 is what spreads germs & illnesses because it's all being kept in a confined space 😊
@bl1995, yea my friend told me the same thing she have two kids one is 13 months and the other one is new born she was born a week ago and she told me to put rain cover and it will stop the cold air coming in to the baby xxx
