I need help gaining weight. I lost 14 lbs my first trimester and have only gained 2 lbs back. I want to gain a healthy amount of weight for my baby. But i cant seem to gain any i have been stuck at the same weight since 10 weeks pregnant. I am not getting sick anymore but still cant gain any weight. Any suggestions?
I wouldn't worry right now. You may gain it all in the end. Everyone's different. As long as your baby is healthy, that's all that matters 😊
@babybearblue2, ok good to know my doctor wants to see some weight gain im the second trimester. But I know overall he wants me to gain 20 lbs
I lost 10 pounds at the begining now finally gained ot back in my 3rd trimester.
@dreamermom, thanks for the advice definitely getting the app😊
For my last pregnancy, I used my fitness pal app to track my food/activities... you can put in your info and that you'd like to gain 1/2-1lb a week and it will tell you how much you need to take in... if I remember correctly it also tells you where you might be lacking... like not enough protein or fat... so then you can evaluate what foods might be better choices for you... just remember every woman and every pregnancy is different, so don't be too hard on yourself if you don't gain the same as others... the goal of gaining weight is to be healthy... eat good clean foods... skip the junk, because you don't want to end up with gestational diabetes, because you ate bad stuff trying to gain weight! My niece is currently experiencing that... and it's not something I'd wish on anyone! Hope this helps
I didn't gain any weight, I actually lost but my doctor was never concerned. She said baby measured where he needed to be so it never cause a problem at all. Just be glad you may be lucky you're not gaining weight but it is still early so you've got plenty of time to gain too.
@shellbell0391, i wish I could take some lol. It a blessing and a curse.
@beanieboo, @jaxmomma @nommy1987 my doctor have been considered with my weight. They tell me i need to gain at lest 20 lbs to have a healthy baby. My pre-pregnancy weight was 115 now down to 104 and i been stuck at 104 since 10 weeks pregnant.
@cubanese, thank you good to know i gotta to learn how to count my calories 😊
@caseyann19, i like both lol so i will give it a try. Thanks 😊
If your doctor hasn't said anything about the weight, then I wouldn't worry. Your baby is still getting everything they need even if you aren't gaining the weight. My sister was very sick with my nephew and lost a lot of weight. She was only 92 pounds. When she delivered she was 115. So she ended up gaining a total of 23 pounds. She didn't gain hers until the end. Just ask your doctors what they suggest 😊
u start really gaining weight in ur second trimester now. dont worry ull gain a healthy amount of weight. & are bodies are all diff I was 111lb to 156lb and im not overweight. as long as ur doctor says ur healthy ur good ^_^
I've always heard that milk and cornbread will help you gain weight but I've never tried it cause I'm not a big fan of either of them lol

Ok so not using actual numbers.. But everyone knows I'm over weight since having my girls. It's no secret. BUT i was talking with my hubby last night and idk how we got to this but he said something like (not using actual numbers) no one should weigh 800lbs, they should take care of themselves. And i said so what if someone weighs 800lbs? He said no one should weigh that, they should be healthier. I said well i almost weigh 800! I'm in the 790s. And I'm healthy. I may be overweight but i don't h...
