Has anyone ever told you they don't like your kids name? With my daughter my sister said she didn't like the name Lucille and she was gunna call her Lucy. I said no your not I'm naming her Lucille so that's what you'll call her. Now if our second is another girl my husband picked the name Jasmine out. Then I get told that's a stripper name. And if it's a boy he will be named after my husband. For the boy I get told that's stupid and we give him his own name and not a Jr. It's not your kid so you gave zero say in the name.

i named my baby Vanellope (from the movie Wreck it Ralph) my whole entire family (from my side) hates that name. they all call her by her middle name Madison. you can't always please everyone do what makes u happy girl 😙💜

i don't see anything wrong with the names. I figure its your baby,it's your choice. But I was wondering why is it a bad thing if your sister call her "Lucy" , it's a nickname? it's not like its whole different name?? I was just curious...You don't like the name "Lucy"?

I had someone make fun of my son's name over the weekend. specifically his middle name (my dead grandfather's name) and I was over the top pissed. i figure people shouldn't have any say in the matter if it's not their child.

I've had that same issue they don't like it or it's somone not liking the fact that I changed the spelling of the original name who gives a hoot about what others think it's not their decision

yup everyone said Delos isn't a good name. well it means something to me so you can suck it. they said kids will make fun of him in school. Kids don't need a name to be fun of. if kids are gonna bully, they are gonna find a way. Delos' middle name is William which is a family name on both daddy's and my sides and my dad said he's gonna call him Billy. I told him no he won't. his name isn't Billy. it is Delos and that is what he is going by.

yep. my mother in law attempted to tell me what she liked like she had a choice. you don't have a choice at all until you have another baby

@mommyofavaka, I named her after my grandma who never like to be called Lucy. So I said I'll let her decide once she's older if she wants to go by Lucy or not. I don't have anything against the name. I just love Lucile and the fact it was my grandmas name
