@savvylynn1, this is not true, when you get married you are not your mothers responsibly, it falls now on yourself and your husband... they only cover you under your mom is you are "single"

@savvylynn1, you have to go online and apply, you better do it soon though i think dec is the cut off for open enrollment, your husband has to be on the same application because your married, so it will fall into family care

they cannot take you off insurance because you got married. look it up. I have checked several times. my sister in law went through this because she thought she had to get off her mom's and turns out she didn't have to until last year. @b3autifulm3ss @savvylynn1

You can wait till baby is born and the hospital will enroll you for it if you ask! It was such a pain in the ass for me girl! As soon as I was in L&D I asked for someone to help me apply! They got it squared away for both me and my son! They can do it for your hubby too. Just make sure to ask!

I have insurance through my parents still. And they already knew that. But it didn't cover my maternity! They'll just asked general info including your annual income! Just explains your situation to them. They can't tell you that you won't get approved lol. They don't decide that. It's worth a shot! They should tell you if you were approved by the time you leave the hospital:)
