I have a 4 year old and to tell you the truth he's done great with his little brother. He never got jealous and that's because we always try to give him as much attention as the little one gets. You can also include him in things you do with the baby, they love that. But remember to always show him as much love as the little one will be getting.

My daughter is almost three and shes very excited, weve made sure to keep her involved with the whole process, it makes her want to help! Its very good and fun to see her thoughts for her new little sibling :)

my 9 year old was excited when we were pregnant but now that he's here she's jealous, he's 14 mths now, and now I'm pregnant again, she's not to happy!

I think it does depends on the age my son is 14 he's doing fine....you find time to balance and still have one on one with the other kids
