i feel like im the only one who doesnt cook the night before .... what are yal cooking that u need 2 days of cooking ? i get up about 9am to start
do you... Clean up after your SO is done cooking? Or vice versa? DF was cooking and while he was cooking I unloaded the dish washer and hand washed the pot he had used and put dishes in the dish washer, so by the time he got his plate, dishes were done and left overs were in Tupperware on the counter just in case anyone wanted seconds and counters were wiped down. The room mate asked me why I do that, and I just say that's how I was raised. I always clean up after anyone cooks in the house, even after myself. I clean as I cook, so DF doesn't clean up because it's done before dinner is finished lol. But there's rare occasions where he'd be in the kitchen while I cook so he does help out with the cleaning since i cook during the day sometimes so we can heat it up when it's dinner time. I want everyone to get their first and seconds before I eat. My mom has taught me to always clean up after your spouse makes dinner, it's only fair. They put their effort into cooking, you should always help them out.
This may be random but what do yall cook for Christmas? Like I wanna cook but no Thanksgiving food lol...what's traditional for Xmas dinner??

I started stuff tonight so I don't have to wait to use the oven. Did my casseroles and pies and peeled potatoes. Just have to make the turkey tomorrow, biscuits and homemade mashed potatoes.

My turkey took six hours and some change... I just didn't want to have to wake up super early to cook it, so I got that out of the way. I have a turkey, glazed ham, baked mac and cheese, homemade mashed potatoes, candied yams, dressing, peach cobbler, apple pie, sweet potato pie, and other sides that I'm forgetting lol. I just didn't want my workload to be too much tomorrow.
