ladies I need your help- I need a recipe for beans (pinto) and ham(have a ham bone with some meat) and also a recipe for chocolate pie

I just slice the ham and put it in a fry pan and put down a layer, sprinkle with brown sugar, put down another layer and sprinkle some more, repeat. My family loves it! It creates an amazing sauce. Is the ham raw or already cooked?
