People always make comments because we don't allow outside shoes in our home. I really don't care. We got this home built, we all have allergies and it really helps keep our home cleaner and more sanitary for a crawling baby. 👌🏾 #momlife #whocareswhatpeoplethink
Yes, you have to push the handle on this one to heat up as well. I haven't had any issues with it so far. I want the one with the washable replacement pads. I hated mopping until I bought this. @txyogagirl
@withlovedkj, thanks mine looked similar but I just must have got a bad one of something. Mine didn't come with bottle. The handle how u push in for steam is what quit working on mine it would never heat up I should have tried to return it but never did
Great that's the brand I had as well I may have just had a bad model it was when they first came out
I use a shark steam mop. I love it. I'm not sure what model but I'll send you a picture. @txyogagirl
@withlovedkj what kind of stem mop do u use? I had one but I didn't care for it seemed like it didn't work well enough for me and it quit steaming within 6m. Yea carpet is safe for stairs. We originally didn't have a me from either so we split one of the bedrooms and made one it's only 80sq ft but has a good lay out and has another section that is an open hall area part. What I like best is it has a back exterior door it's basically my dogs room. I wish it had a shower if we ever build a new home I will for sure have a big mud room with shower.
I only have carpet in the bedroom and on the stairs, unfortunately. I didn't want the stairs carpeted but I like it for the most part because it isn't as dangerous as plank. In most of the areas where guests walk we have hardwood and tile flooring. I dust mop and usually use a steam mop as well to keep the floors sanitized. I wish I had a mud room! My house wasn't designed with one. I couldn't add one either. I don't think I'd have it any other way. I just hate the thought of wearing nasty outside shoes inside.
I wouldn't care there r so many germs people don't realize that we bring in. We just put in hand scraped hardwood and I just love it. We have a lot of natural stone tile which I hate bc it's so hard to maintain over the years. The small amount of carpet we have we hope to remove and continue with the hardwood. @withlovedkj what kind of flooring do u have? I think it depends on the floor but on carpet it can be super gross people tracking stuff in. The wood I use a dust mop everyday in my bedroom and hall bc those are high traffic areas. It takes about 3min not a big deal. Do u have a mud room? We do and it's painted concrete I have had like 3 professionally tell me what flooring am I putting and I'm like none it's a freaking mud room it suppose to get dirty I so wanna add cubbies like on Pinterest by the time baby Luke is walking that way we can start teaching him leave his shoes n a basket
I know, it's so yucky! I really can't see it any other way. I know many people in the medical profession who says they do the same thing, take their clothes and shoes off at the door. @nurseriri
I agree, it makes for a much cleaner house! @loveerii
I think that's the best rule ever. @hiswifetheirmama
@withlovedkj, the rules in my apartment is no shoes whatsoever. And that's before I had my son. It's just a pet peeve of mines to have outside filth from under your shoes in my space. Yuckkkk. When I get home from work I usually take my scrubs off by the door and shower before I get Ethan from the sitter.
My fiancé grandparents are the same way, it keeps everything so much cleaner !
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
