Thats so good he does both! My son was breastfed for 3 weeks. My nipples became so sore I gave up and he wouldn't latch correctly anymore. Once I started to bottle feed him he wouldn't take my boob for shit anymore. I tried to get him on again after I healed but he was already use to the bottle

Yeah before my milk came in we had to supplement with formula for a day and then I was pumping my milk into storage containers and bottle feeding him because he wasn't latching on. Then I used a nipple shield and he latched right on. Now he does both with no problems. And he doesn't care if the milk is warm from me or cold for a bottle. He's such an awesome little dude making life easy on my husband and I! He's like I just want your milk mom I don't care how I get it lol!! 😂

@starrbaby, pumping has made my life so much easier! Not only do I have a nice milk stock supply in the freezer for the future months to come but I keep a nice fridge supply too so my husband always has milk to bottle feed the little guy while I sleep or shower or whatever. And I'm so excited to finally have a nice couple glasses of wine on thanksgiving while still being able to give my baby my milk with a bottle. I even bought the alcohol strips to test when I can breastfeed him again once the alcohol leaves my body. I'm so surprised how much I already feel back to my normal self. Besides still being sore down there due to the 2nd degree tear I had I feel really good! I'm actually getting sleep and feeling energized! I also had my placenta encapsulated and I feel like that has a lot to do with the way I feel. They've been working wonders on me lol

@starrbaby, That sucks about your placenta and the infection but at least you and baby are okay!! My milk supply is really high so I breastfeed him as much as I can. I try to go back and forth between each boob but he definitely prefers the right boob. But when one or both feel really full and starts to be uncomfortable and he's already eaten then I pump just enough until they feel soft again. I usually do one at a time so I can massage my boob with my other hand while I pump. I mostly pump my left boob. When the right one feels super full I try to just offer it to him and he usually will drink enough to soften it up. But basically yeah I just pump when they feel super full and stop as soon as they feel soft again. It's been working out great!
