I strictly breastfeed. However I've started pumping to have milk in the fridge and for times where I need to run out without bebe. but my bebe seems to not take the bottles very well. Any other mommas have this experience?
I just ordered a Dr brown, comotomo, and life factory bottle. let's see which works the best! she tends to choke on her milk so the slow flow nipple is perfect. but in the Tommie tippie brand the flow is just too much because she can't catch her breath and milk comes out of her mouth on top of the nipple inverting.
sigh.... I guess it's all about trial and error @ciraclesmiracle
@delores93, my son started on size 1 nipples, and he really liked the Como Tomo bottle (you can get it at Target). Then he started rejecting the bottle a few weeks ago. I realized I never went up to a larger nipple, so I switched to the size 2 LifeFactory bottles I had and he started taking it again. I thought I might have to get a size 2 Como Tomo, but there's nothing special about the LifeFactory bottle shape or nipple and he seems fine with it! He's 5 months, so size 1 was way too small--it's for 0-3mo, and he must've been getting frustrated not getting enough milk!
hey! I've started about a week ago but I'm trying to be more consistent with it. so far I've only tried the slow flow by Tommie tippie. a lot of milk seems to come out her mouth when she's drinking. So I'm guessing maybe it's not the best after all.... which nipple worked for your little one? @ciraclesmiracle
Yes. I had this prob too. I have to give my baby a couple bottles a week so he will be used to taking it. How old is your babe? Are you using the correct nipple size?
