Has anyone in NYC had a c section and their partner was able to cut the umbilical cord ? Really want my husband to cut the cord 2nd time around .

my fiance got to cut our daughters when she was being cleaned, I had a c section too. I think the only time they can't is an emergency c section bit I'd ask to be sure it may vary where your at

I know  the doctor cuts it first and then the husband/partner cuts it to appropriate size when newborn is getting cleaned and checked out. 
I've never heard of them letting them cut it right away.
