my daughter has already thrown up & I tried take her temperature in her armpit. but she threw a fit before it was done & I had to take it out. it wasn't even finished and it was at 101.4 just where she was laying on the couch it's burning. she's so hot. I really want to know her temp. but now when I try she starts crying and screaming. this is so frustrating. she's puked already and won't eat.

I try to tickle my son or give him my phone to play with and just pin his arm gently for as long as I could.

@hiswifetheirmama, I already gave her tynol at 1 30. she took a nap and work up like 20 minutes ago. the tynol did nothing.

An anal reading is the best. Just put some Vaseline on the thermometer and put it in slowly. If her temperature is under 105.0℉ anal the ER won't do anything besides Tylenol. If you gave her Tylenol at 1:30 she is due for another dose give her some Motrin and in 3 hours some more Tylenol. You have to alternate the two every 3 hours. Try taking her a cool bath and keep light clothes on her. Also make sure they are the right dosage. Go by her weight not the charts on the box those don't really help.

@guaderrama_babies2, I used the forehead one and it said 100.3 but I gave her some more meds. now she's drinking juice and water. she power puked again tho.

@6215teenmom, she has a low temp. do Pedialyte for 12 hours no milk at all. You have to do a liquid diet to clear her stomach out. As long as she's having wet diapers she's okay. Keep up with the meds overnight as well. Do not skip a dose even if you have to wake her for it.

@guaderrama_babies2, yeah I gave her a bottle of milk not thinking about it. and then she power puked after it. she only wants to sleep. she won't eat. she hasn't ate since this morning. she keeps moving around or crying in her sleep.

@6215teenmom, poor baby is uncomfortable. Do all liquids. Usually when they are sick they won't eat anything. My son had a fever a couple of weeks back and he didn't eat for two days but would take Pedialyte and water. The ER told us as long as there are wet diapers he was fine. Make her an appointment or take her to an urgent care if she's tossing and turning in her sleep she might have an ear infection.
