Omg rank again about my mum... we have called our daughter Daphney.. which we love and my mum told us yesterday she doesn't like it and I cried my eyes out, and today she text me saying why she doesn't like the name, which is because she thinks children will bully her, and apparently 'Daffy' means stupid, foolish and weak minded which again really upset me. Can anyone think of any nicknames? I love my mum to bits but sometimes she's so rude and selfish!

I love that it's so uncommon- never met or heard of a Daphney! The opinions on names is exactly why I'm not telling anyone until baby is born! No ones choice but the parents! You could call her Dee, Dee-Dee, Daph, Ney/Nee, Nee-Nee for short? Xx

as everyone has said she is your baby and I you love the name then sod everyone else's opinion, they will soon get used to it x as for a nick name I hate shortening names daphney is perfect and as she gets older she will choose herself, my niece Olivia till us she wants us to call her livvy and hates livvy also I hate jem xx
