After a subchorionic hemorrhage shortly after learning that I was pregnant I thought that I was having another miscarriage. Thankfully I wasn't but I was put on bed rest. By 30 weeks my liver enzymes were skyrocketing, my platelets were crashing and I couldn't breathe. I was admitted to be delivered without the option to try to let her cook for longer because I was literally dying. While in labor I was diagnosed with pneumonia too. 32 hours of labor later my lil pipsqueak was born at 2lbs 7.9oz. During her stay she was intubated twice, became septic, had a blood transfusion and countless apnea and bradycardia alarms due to recurrent bouts of GERD. TODAY, at 4lbs 12oz, my SugarPants came home after 2 months and 2 days. She was due Tuesday 11.15.16. God is sooooo good. I surprised her dad when I brought her home as I kept it a secret from everyone. She's my pretty girl #preemie 💜
Please do share @kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom. And yes that MgSo4 sucked so bad. I literally felt smoke emanating from my ears and was on it for all 3. My middle child was macrosomic (large) at 35 weeks because of my gestational diabetes. I had it with my eldest but not with my baby girl
Even your 35 weeker was born bigger than my 40 weeker (5lbs 11oz, which was bigger than i was and my dad was at birth). I think I started having preeclampsia with my first son but they let me go to 40 weeks with him. I can't remember any of my details with my second son (I have the paperwork but I'm feeding the little guy so I can't get it) but im pretty sure you had it worse. I'm sorry. =[ I think being on magnesium was one of the worst parts of HELLP. that, and literally feeling your liver starting to fail. There's a few other HELLP moms on here but not many. There's a support page on Facebook that I can share with you if you're interested in talking to other HELLP moms.
@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, I most certainly did with all three of my children. This time was the most severe. I had my eldest with preeclampsia at 40 exactly on his due date at 7 lbs 4oz. My highest b/p was 217/110. My middle child was born at 35 weeks @ 6lbs 7oz with the highest b/p at 164/100. With my daughter my platelets dropped to 98, my ast/alt doubled in a week and my b/p is still high to this very day. HELLP is horrible and I'm so sorry that you had it too.
@mrsmord, thank you dear. I'm gonna try to loosen up. I'll schedule that in for some time next week lol
Congrats on making it home lil one!!! Did you have HELLP?
their just so tiny and delicate !! I'm not a nurse and when my son came home from the nicu I freaked out alittle !! because I was afraid I'd hurt his little body. but your her mom u know what's best and you'll do a wonderful job
@mrsmord, thank you so much. I'm so nervous now that she's finally home and I'm a nurse. I take care of big people this preemie stuff is soooooo hard

@mrsmord, thank you. She won't let me put her down now. I'm in need of sustenance. Her gerd is volatile at time so I hear her grunt and then eruption lol
