How much did your newborn eat and how often? My nurse told me she should be eating around 30 ml (1 0z) every 2-3 hours but whenever I'm finished feeding her she starts sucking on her hands like she's still hungry
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
Her helmet she got so she can be safe (as she told me) when she rides her bike and scooter lol
How do you discipline an 11 month old? Shes been so bad lately and if you tell her no she doesn't listen.
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
so serious question not regarding me but I have a friend who smoked weed up until her 32nd week pregnant and she's now 34 weeks how long would it take for her to clean her system and what should she do? all because she was getting sick and couldn't eat

Maybe this will help. 2-3 hours is usually how often they eat but it also depends on the baby, some babies can eat less or more & be ok.

that's when I got out the pacifier! my daughter loves that sucking action. yes they say it can cause confusion etc with latching but it didn't

Mine ate 2 ounces every 2 hours. You can't go by the "average" with every single baby. Mine was genuinely still hungry. I tried the teeny bit the doctors recommended and she'd still scream and look for the breast or bottle. After she had her two, she settled in and went back to sleep or staring around.

@dang_dridri, @littlemamaindiana shes only a day old, I've been feeding her 20-30 ml every 3 hours but she still acts hungry afterwards. So her last 2 feedings I've given her 40. She's a chunky baby, but I don't want to over feed her

Yeah, what @breloya said. Let baby control the feedings, if she's still hungry I would feed her.

My son was eating almost two oz since we were in the hospital. He is two weeks old and up to almost 4 oz. I would make a 2 oz bottle and see what she drinks. She will probably not drink all of it but those extra 10ml or so will probably do the trick. My son will fall asleep or simply stop drinking when he is satisfied. Hope this helps.
