i don't personally believe the CIO method is ok. Baby's can't speak to tell you exactly what's wrong.

when they are safe in beds have diapers changed and don't need anything I let them cry sometimes during nap time

I don't. There are several reasons I don't agree with it but every parent is different and it is your decision.

If I know my son doesn't need anything. Than I let him cry it out. But if it's a terrible cry I pick him up or rock him.

I have for nap time it was mainly because I was bottle breaking. and when I take t away at night I'll probably have to do the same thing....

Sometimes I do with my almost 4 mo. I can tell when it's because he's hungry or when he's just bored, and if it's not a serious cry I let him sit there and whine
