Question/advice...
so i got a 136 on my 1 hour glucose test; threshold is 130 so basically 6 points over. Now my doc wants me to do the 3 hour test and I really don't think its necessary. What do you mamas think? Anyone failed their 1 hour test and didn't opted out of the 3 hour??

I'd either do it or at least agree to monitor your sugar for a week by testing yourself 4 times a day. GD is serious, so even if you failed by a small margin....you failed and you should have further testing
Yes the cut off for me was 140 and I got a 176. I did the three hour and passed every draw except the 1 hour draw but she didn't diagnose me as having GD. She said watch my sugar intake and she would monitor my urine for any significant changes.

I'm surprised they say the max is 130. It's usually 140.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. @dabcw3814, im going to ask about the different cut off numbers when I see my doc in a few. @arivera64 the monitoring for a week sounds like an option I'm will to try. Will inquire about it today.
