Really bummed today. I understand that things don't always go as planned I'm just having trouble accepting it. baby girl is estimated to be about 10 pounds... if she doesn't come on her own I am scheduled to be induced the 28th.
Now my doctor is suggesting an epidural as well which I wanted to avoid as well.
Either way I get a beautiful baby... just feeling kinda down after doctors appointment today
@nowmrspost, @jaxmomma @jeremiah27 @aylenrose thanks ladies I posted this when I was super bummed out yesterday and just needed some support. I had an ultra sound today where my baby only measured one week ahead! (This whole time she has been measuring 5 weeks ahead!) not sure on the weight yet I have to wait until the give me the report back but I honestly don't think she's as big and they thought she'd be. I'm going to tell my doctor to cancel the induction date if everything on the ultra sound comes back normal size and nothing poses a threat to me or baby. I'm NOT getting induced just because it fits her schedule. I refuse to just let that happen now after seeing this completely normal ultra sound today! :)
I'm sorry. I've heard a lot of the time the estimates are wrong. i hope you get to birth how you want
And I'm doing my birth at the birthing inn it's all natural there. I don't like hospitals
I would just tell them no on the epideral, and they can still put you into labor there's other methods. And epideral don't always work.
I'm sorry I understand now a days people try to put the idea in your head that the perfect baby is 7-8 pounds and its not true. your baby will be perfect to my aunt had two babies that were 10 pounds and they were perfect. I am in the opposite boat as you apparently my son was only 5.5 pounds at 36 weeks and she assumes he will only be 6.5 at birth so if he doesn't come on his own they want to induce me to on his due date. which I was scared for and didn't want but I guess that's just how our journeys were meant to go. at the end you will get your beautiful baby and all the adjustments you made and pain you went through will be in the back of your mind. hopefully they cone on their own and you can still do it naturally like you wanted. :)
Yes please don't over react I did the same thing thinking Jeremiah was going to be a 9 or 10 pound baby, and he only came out as 7 lb 12 oz
