@nanabuggie, you don't need or deserve that kind of negativity. This is your life and I'm sure she'll either get over it or not. You can't control that. Control your life and support your husband because he's supporting you. It's the right thing to do.

@beebaby, my parents are 5 minutes from where he will work. We'll be with them until he gets paid plus he'll still have one more paycheck coming from his old job

Sounds like your in the right and not her. I think you guys are making a great choice.

My husband got a new job that we have to move for. Which is fine to me because we've had to stay with my in laws lately. She told me we were being stupid leaving because we don't pay rent here but my husband only gets 12 hours a week at minimum wage where we are now. She said I was a massive disappointment and should be ashamed for supporting my husbands choice to pursue a better life. Even though this new job comes with the opportunity to own our own place.

How did she do that ?
