i had to brin my marriage license and social

I was told ur social had to be changed and once u got the physical paper to wait 2 weeks so the system can switch it then go to DMV with ur old id social and marriage paper, I'm not going to lie I waited 2 years after I was married to change my last name I know I'm horrible

I did mine with just the marriage license. then needed the new Id AND license for my social

Do your license first! To get a new social you have to have a current, valid, ID with your new name on it. Just Bring your marriage license to the DMV and your marriage license plus your new ID to the social security office. I just did this a few months ago
