@ssdj4, my OBGYN told me 6-8 hours, if my vitals are good she may shave off a few hours so I can go see my little guy (with a nurse, in a wheelchair)

I didn't have any meds with my first. the nurses all looked at me like I had lost my mind. who doesn't take pain meds after a major surgery? I didn't need them at all. It only kind of hurt to get off their beds. I was climbing stairs the day I got home. @queen_of2

Well the first time around I was in more pain than the second c section.

My pain actually wasn't too bad. I had my days where it was more painful but the pain medication they give you helps a lot!

my husband got to see him 2 or 3 times before I did. he didn't hold though. he was scared to do it without me. our son was the first baby he was around ever. that's great! I wish I could have breastfed but for 2 weeks with a feeding tube and oxygen it wasn't working. I really hope to breastfeed this time. @misholi87

@misholi87, same here. i saw my baby 2 days after in NICU. my husband got to visit her right after she was born but i was too out of it and in too much pain to move. i was so worried she would breastfeed bc they had her on bottle but she took right away when we left hospital a few 5 days later. @ssdj4

wow I wish I could have seen my baby boy the day I had him. I couldn't hold him until 2 days after :( @misholi87

i had emergency c section at 6pm oct 19th and was able to get up to pee the 21st but i lost a pint of blood during surgery. i saw other mommies in the NICU same day as their surgeries.

I ask because I had no pain with my first and I think that is because I had him at 33 weeks. I'm going 4 weeks longer this time so idk if it will hurt more or not. @queen_of2

So hopefully I won't be down too long. 15 hours of not even knowing wth is going on and who is in the room with me is insane. I hope I'll have my baby in the recovery room with me this time. How bad was your pain with both? @queen_of2

Well I had My son at almost noon and I was up moving by the evening time around 5 or 6. But I guess Thats because this was my second c section so I knew what to expect with the pain.
