question: How should I get my husband to understand race doesn't matter when it comes to names.??? .....Story::::I'm African American nd my husband is Cambodian. I want to give my son a Mexican middle name cause I really like it a lot he said no cause we not Mexican I feel it doesn't matter what race we are he wants him to have a full Cambodian name or "black name"😕 whatever the hell that's supposed to mean honestly i don't want him to have a Cambodian name my daughter has a Cambodian name nd it's hard for ppl to pronounce she has to correct ppl all the time I don't want my son to go through the same thing.
My son is named Gianni. That's an Italian name. We aren't Italian. My son is Cuban, Puerto Rican and Irish. I think if you like a name, use it. No one owns a name
They wont pronounce name right....Good that your considering that but also consider how society & all is now. I , myself am neutral on this. But consider for example, a african american with the name jose sanchez" ? Or a mexican with the name "lee yung"? ... WE don't mind but how is it gonna be for them at school or anywhere later on.
race definitely dont matter my dads name is "carlos Fernando" thats a mexican name but he is fully black lol
let him pick the first name and you pick the middle. Carlito is a cute name. my daughter will have an Italian name and I'm African american & bf is Caucasian, who cares lol.
