So we know he has a stomach bug. If his temp (currently 101.4) gets higher, do we still take him to the er?

I haven't given him any meds since 7 it's now 10:40 and his temp is almost back to normal. if it goes up again I will give him some motrin. @lillysmommy

yeah alternate. I can't with my oldest bc she has kidney disease but motrin will really help

yeah at first i didnt know in till my daughter got sick and they told me i could do that and it help keep her temp down and i did it like clock work when she got sick because if i did not her temp would rise and i hated waking her up but had to so she would not have a fever and felt better.

They say do Tylenol and Motrin switch every three hours of believe to help with the fever and if you can a cool bath helps as well or a cold wash cloth on his forehead.

I know you don't have the money for motrin but maybe ask your father in law bc it will help

they have before. @korahleah_11 I only have Tylenol and no money to get anything else.

And try to give him some Motrin. It's the best thing for fevers

104 is when they need to go to the er if their over 6m old. The er isn't gunna do anything for a fever that low.

I'd wake him up and give it to him and sooth him back to sleep. that's what I'd do for my daughter.

he's asleep. should I wait until he wakes up to do anything? I know asleep is a natural defense to illnesses. @michelle2220

try Tylenol or ibprophan first. if it doesn't go down within an hour then take him in
