morning 😊😊 how is everyone..?
quick question...do any of u premake formular bottles and put them in the fridge... i used to do this with my son and store for no longer than 24 hours and just reheat when needed but seems all different now!! thinking of doing this again as wouod be so much easier x
I just make a bottle up one at a time ⌚ lol so as soon as hayden has finished his morning bottle I get a fresh bottle and make another up ready for his afternoon bottle and by this point it's cooler enough for him to drink x
thanks ladies... @emmaclark thats what i did with my 1st child a d hes never had a problem and ur right it is much easier lol xxx
@babyno2-suzie, tbh you do whatever you feel comfortable, it's your child. I make up 6 bottles with boiled water, and then add the formula when and if I need to :) xx
I pour the boiled water in enough bottles for the day (6) and then just add formula when she wants the feed. I've done it like that since she was born xx
i make 3 at a time(this is how many my son drinks a day) with boiling water, leave to cool and then store in the fridge and microwave heat when needed! people probably think that's awful but it's the way i've done it since i changed from breastfeeding at 4 days old haha. it's a lot easier tbh😃 i just chuck anything that hasn't been used within 24 hours and i've never had an issue. but of course everyone is different! x
The formula needs to be added to hot water to kill infections , so I'd make up hot bottles, and even if you allow them to cool it's fine just redheat to add the formula ... But making it up fully allowing to cool in the fridge and ten reheating formula isn't advised . Perfect prep machine is amazing Hun wait for the Xmas sales xx
@rosie2013, i was gunna get one... moneys tight at the moment but may invest in on in the next couple of weeks... ill see how premaking bottles go xx
Perfect prep machines are amazing! Best thing I ever got this time round @babyno2-suzie
yer health visitors dont always advise best... just don't tell them lol my little girl wont sleep on her back just her side... god forbid i was tell them that lol 😣😣 @sara-lou xx
Yeh I think health visitor would go mental at how I do them. But my friend had been doing it with both her kids so I tried it. Never had any issues with either of my boys. If I was at home all day every day yeh prep machine would be great. But I'm not. Making fresh bottles when your out the house is impossible lol
yer think ill make formula up and store it like i did with my son then... i know the powder is ment to be put into hot water isnt it to kill bacteria?? @haribo83 @sara-lou ... up untill now ive been making them fresh but such a pain through the night waiting dor kettle to boil then bottle to cool down lol... if im ever out long i buy premade milk in bottles anyway... lazy aint i lol xx
I did exactly the same for my daughter as I did for my son 8 years ago. They've both been fine and healthy. Just don't tell the health visitor how you're doing things x
I did that for the first few weeks with my eldest but I go out a lot & found keeping them cool until he needed one difficult if I was out for longer than a few hours. Or there wasn't always somewhere to heat them up. So I started boiling 2 or 3 bottles at a time & leaving to cool. Then just add formula when he needed one. I do this with Max now.
@babyno2-suzie, it so is!! of course if it caused my son issues then i would have stopped right away but it never has so i don't see the problem😃 xxx
