28+3 days pregnant.
had my midwife appointment today.
spoke to the midwife about opting for a C-section. as my last labor was difficult as was after birth. I had to get cut and they used forceps Which I guess is pretty normal, but was quite terrifying to me. but after birth I had a few complications. my back was badly damaged. I couldn't sit down or stand up with out assistance for 2 weeks, and walking was painful on the back also. after I gave birth I could not void my bladder properly. and was in and out of hospital for 2 weeks, and got told if I give birth again it's most likely to reoccur. so this time around I am terrified of giving birth and have high anxiety. the midwife has now booked me into see doctors about it. I guess my question is do yous think the doctors will see this as a good enough reason for the c section?
U can opt for a c cection without a medical reason. They would try talk u out of it but at the end of the day it's ur choice :) x
Oh that sounds horrible :( hopefully your doctor will understand, I don't see why they wouldn't let you have a c-section?
Oh gosh, no wonder your feeling anxious after all that. 😔 That's good your getting to discuss it with the Dr. I hope they give you some options and you feel supported through the process.
How long does it take you to start your cycle after giving birth...I had a c-section...
Forgive me if this offends anyone but is it just me or does it seem like doctors are so quick to jump to c-sections these days? Even my midwife at 30 weeks said if my baby doesn’t turn (he’s transverse) I’ll have to have a c-section. Which of course put so many thoughts in my mind that I didn’t necessarily need because I still have ten weeks. I just don’t get it I guess. Technically we can go to 42 weeks.
Who TF in their right mind would choose a c section over vaginal birth if they had a choice and it wasn't medically necessary I'll wait....
VBAC after two C-sections?
We are TTC #3. I really want to have a vaginal birth this time (if I do end up pregnant) but I've had 2 c-sections in the past.
C-section=OMG!
So let me start off by saying I am completely terrified.
thanks ladies, I really hope they do let me opt for one. xx @amybee thankyou. I'm not on private tho, would they still let me even if I go public?
