Hi ladies,

I have a question. my son has had diarrhea for a total of 6 days already. with no other symptoms. he's eating normal. he's playing like always and I even had him try solids for the first time yesterday and he ate just fine. the dr. said as long as there is no fever , bleeding, or vomiting and keeping his appetite I shouldn't be worried. he said to just keep an eye on him. has anyone else been through this? and do you know how to get rid of it. Also he has a horrible diaper rash. how do i treat it? I've tried everything. I would appreciate any advice. he's 4/12 months. Ftm here.

you can make a mix of fractionated coconut oil, lavender and tea tree oil and spray it on the rash.

For the rash you can try cornstarch it works wonders with bad rashes.

My son had the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Our doctor told us to give him only pedialyte, bananas or apple sauce for 12-24 hours. Then we slowly started his formula again after that. His diarrhea ended up lasting 4 days. He did however have the worse diaper rash ever it was almost like a second degree burns. The doctor gave us a prescription for some type of compound butt paste they make in the pharmacy and prescribed another cream to put on the rash for yeast so he wouldn't get a yeast infection. Those creams worked a miracle.
