How do you ladies deal with your SO's family you don't get along with.. with a baby? Because idk if I want my SIL around…

My boyfriends mom cheated on his dad with another man when he worked constantly who support the 4 kids and she got to stay home he handed her all his money and instead of paying bills she put it all back to get out. And my boyfriend was I think he said 16 so he spiraled out of control getting in trouble with law and bad friends and drugs. But ever since she left she hasn't wanted anything to do with him and it really affects him everyday and now that we are having a baby he thought she would come around but she expects to watch the baby and I've met her twice in 2 years. It's really hard sometimes cause he's emotionally damaged and scarred from her not wanting him that it makes me have resentment. But he has grown so close to my mom it's becoming better.

It sucks because I left my mom's because of similar situations. We thought it would be different here but I guess not, hopefully we don't have to live here long. I think I could stand her a bit more if we didn't live in the same house

That's hard . My sister doesn't get along with my bf . Sometimes she hates him and it's hard cause I can't force her to get along with him .

We just deal.. It's family going to be in our life regardless.. Children shouldn't have to suffer because we have problems with a certain family member.. I hated my SILs but didn't deny my son time with them because the loves his family.. It's hard but unless they are hurting my child i won't deny them time with him
