I thought about refusing mine. I was only a few points off. only 1/3 of those who take the 3 hour actually end up having GD. I feel like there's got to be a better way of screening for it. But I did it anyways because I wouldn't be able to carry on not knowing if I had it since it can affect so many parts of your pregnancy. Good luck.

I know I hate needles as well I had to do it two three hr testing this pregnancy but its better to get it done so you can know if you have gestational diabetes. They test me early my last pregnancy because I'm over weight so they did it with this one as well. I passed the first three hr but they wanted to do another when I was further along when I was 28 weeks I had it done again and failed the whole three hr sadly. So they had to send me to a specialist and all that thank goodness my diabetes hasn't effected her in anyway. @mommabear2016
