what age did y'all start giving your babies that gerber baby juice .?

My son is 6m & even before we knew he had allergies, I had no desire to give him juice until he's well over a year. so much sugar for their little bodies

Juice is completely unnecessary and full of sugar. I use it for constipation only and very rarely.

ok it was just a question . jessh just saw it in the baby aisle and wondered what all hes allowed to have now or try besides baby food & formula .

I started giving Juice at 9 months. she doesn't drink it all day tho.

Wow, that got you some enthusiastic responses. Here's a more measured one: In terms of safety, think of it like water. You don't want to introduce non-breast milk/formula fluids like juice or water until baby is transitioning over to solids, so usually 6 months-ish. Earlier than that and it can through of their electrolyte balance and hurt their kidneys. There are a ton of opinions on whether juice is ever good because of the sugar (as you've now seen), but that's a decision for your family. There's lots of research on the topic, the American Academy of Pediatrics website has some great info on it if you want to research some.
