Just curious, I have never breastfed and I'm going to try when this baby is born but my question is, do you start to breastfeed as soon as baby is born or is there a certain amount of time you have to wait or what??

yes you should begin putting baby to the breast within the first hour after the baby is born

They most of the time but baby on your chest for a while and then on the breast shortly after 😀

As soon as they put the baby on your chest the baby will probably start to "root" aka search for a nipple. It's your right as a mother to start breastfeeding right then. The other stuff like cleaning the baby off and such can wait.

I'm told that baby will start looking for the nipple and latch themselves. I'm anxious to see how this happens
