@mrs.n2014, I did learn about those in breast feeding class I'm not sure what I have going on. It's painful all the time but I still try to function and feed him as normal he is getting milk bc I see it coming out I will try warm compress maybe I will sleep on heating pad tonight for a bit

@hiswifetheirmama, ok I will try that the past week or so I have noticed more engorgment more often bc he is finally starting to sleep a little longer but still haven't given in to the pump bc I'm scared if I start pumping I will have to keep it up and I don't wanna give a bottle unless there is a need and there isn't a need bc he is always by my side

In the classes they told us that if we pump once then don't do it for 2 weeks it could mess up our supply so that's what I always thought

Also, as far as not wanting to give a bottle, some babies need to learn how to use the bottle so if you are ever away, they will eat. Our pediatrician recommended 1 bottle per day, but we do more like 3 per week. He does fight it at first, but then takes it. I would hate for something to happen and then add the stress of not knowing if baby will eat. But it sounds like you have a clogged milk duct. Nurse/pump, hot compresses, deep massage. Get that milk moving so it doesn't get infected and turn into mastitis. Good luck!

@Sam.g, yes I have been reading and almost sure it's a clogged duct I did the shower with a hard massage last night like @hiswifetheirmama said then he ate on that side after then I did heating pad but then he slept the longest he ever has last night he usually wakes up at least every 4 hours he has only slept 6hr once ever but last night got a total of 7 straight. I had taken ibprofen they had prescribed when I left hospital that I never used the med wonder if that's why he slept long. My boob was super hard this morn but I tried the feeding like leaning over him online they said that can help let gravity do the job and I massage from back to nipple during his feeding he was getting lots of milk fast I could tell but he was ok. I think I will feed again like that next time as well. As for bottle I don't see myself leaving ever I have no fam near by and won't leave him with a stranger and he hasn't left my side since birth yea it might be nice to have bottle so my husband can feed him but he works nights and crazy times and works OT on his days off in order for me to stay home so I wouldn't make him get up with him even if I did have milk pumped. I did try to introduce a bottle like one week ago with one oz of water I know they say don't give baby water he literally had 1/2oz in 3 days it mostly ran down his chin he didn't like the nipple but I'm sure he will adjust with time he is only 8w so he is still learning he can't suck pasi yet either bc I didn't try till one month
