It's never a silly question 😊 I found out yesterday my baby is now head down too but it doesn't mean they're fully engaged yet. You might see it written as 3/5 engaged which means 3 parts of their head is in your pelvis and 2 parts is out. Hopefully when labour starts it's all in, but it isn't an indication of when you'll go in to labour xx

@newmommyapril, thank you. I was so happy when she said her head was down that I forgot to ask anything else lol. When do they start checking if she's engaged? I've got 4 wks left but not holding my breath that she will come on her due date xx

nope, my baby has been head down since 28 weeks but he's still 'free' as my notes say, even if they are a bit engaged they can still move out of their engaged position. my oldest was 3/5 engaged then 2 weeks before my due date he was free again, still came on his due date though x

@mummyto1soon2be2, oh god I didn't know they could move once their head down this far gone. Mine was laying across for months that the midwife said if she didn't change by 38 wks that I would most likely need a C-section. Hoping she stays where she is 😐. It would b lovely if she come on her due date,I'm so ready for her x

@missy84 No no hun...she means the head can come out of the pelvis even at this stage...but yeah...she may decide to turn around again :) My girl was head down at 20 weeks...didnt start going into the pelvis until around 34 weeks...she was 3/5ths when I went into labour...so I dont really believe it matters if their head is engaged or not :) They can engage during labour (like my girl did) or beforehand xxx

The reason I knew she was head down early...because I saw on my 20 week scan...and also I stopped getting kicks to my cervix...up until my 20 week scan..she had been kicking me in my cervix...was so glad haha...because was so uncomfortable xxx

@winterbaby95, oh lord I hope she doesn't turn again 😐. I keep getting pressure on my bladder n feels like there's a foot underneath my ribcage sometimes,not very comfortable when you want to sit down 😖. xx
