So I'm expected to pay $500 for rent and almost $300 in utilities. It I only work 10-15 hours a week. How does that work? I can take care of all the utilities but not the rent part 🙄

also why in the heck are you paying so much for utilities?!?! if it's a house or even an apartment they definitely can't be that expensive

@mamaash, it's a two bedroom one bath. @babyleon out rent is $1600 total
Felicia·
your bf helps right?
Marina·
Мама сына-младенца
@babyleon, yes. Him and his dad split the rent 50/50 but my boyfriend pays all the utilities as well. But with me not getting many hours I don't understand how I'm supposed to pay as much as my FIL would like me to. Plus I will have to buy formula and diapers for my son

so it's an apartment that your FIL help you get? or did you move in with him?

That's a lot for utilities. I only pay about $50 max for electric and my apartment comes with W/S/G.

Мама сына-младенца
@daylenerebecca, yes it's the cheapest we could find to live in a good area, @babynessa California makes you pay for literally everything, @mamaash we asked him to move in with us to have some help and so he wasn't sleeping on a couch anymore

what apartments do u live in?!
Marina·
Мама сына-младенца
@mamaash, esplanade apartments

oh riverwalk. yeah those are nice. if you invited his dad to live with you... whys he acting like he controls the rent?
Deleted·
not to pry or anything but i looked it up and i'm assuming you got the 2 bedroom one bath before he moved in? bc you can get a 2 bedroom 2 bath for like 1594 so pretty much the same as your 2 bdr 1 bath
Marina·
Мама сына-младенца
Yeah they didn't have any bigger units for us 😔 I would prefer 2 baths. I hate sharing

Giiiirrrlll that's way too much for utilities! I live in a 2bd/1ba apartment and my electric has NEVER been higher than $90. Usually it's like $40 and we're horrible about turning the lights off. If you haven't seen the bill and he's just telling you that's how much it costs, you should definitely ask to see it lol
Marina·
Мама сына-младенца
@nikilauren, I keep all the bills or they won't get paid 😂 it high because of the "city fee" it would only be $80 if it wasn't for that

Lol I understand that 😂 but damn that's insane!
