In the beginning I had to express milk for my son because he was jaundice and in that photo box thing. I haven't pumped in months since I'm never without my son. It depends on what you want to do. I would recommend waiting a few weeks because some kids do develop nipple confusion

Before I went back to work, I would have my boyfriend bottle feed our son if I wanted to get a quick nap in or something when he was hungry. I've always bottle fed my son when out or traveling because it's just more convenient. Thankfully he doesn't mind going back and forth between bottle and breast lol.

@nikilauren, lucky!Hopefully my daughter is the same.Im sure I won't mind breastfeeding but it'd be nice to have an alternative for traveling and if I want a bit of rest.

Yeah I only do it to have the freedom sometimes but now that I went back to work and pump while I'm at work, I breastfeed all the time when I'm home because I don't want my supply to drop plus i love the bonding experience. I introduced bottles within the first couple of weeks. I know it's not recommended but he had trouble latching and would get frustrated so that's what worked for us for the time being.

I pumped in the beginning to build up my supply but after 4 weeks I just breast fed. It was too much work pumping and storing and washin all the bottles. I used bottles since she first popped out. She never had any problems with it
