Have you been having unprotected sex? If you have, it may be implantation spotting. Birth control takes a month to take full affect and until then you need to use a condom or pull out because you can still get pregnant. And you need to take your pill at the same time each day because if you don't it stops working correctly and you can get pregnant. Basically you can still get pregnant on birth control if you aren't using it correctly
